Space Standards
The Blackwood “Concept House” was created to explore solutions for an Accessible , adaptable, Affordable and Beautiful dwelling based around accommodation offering a double bedroom with carer/second bedroom.
Early during development, this translated to the 70m2 2 bed / 2 person solution delivered at Glamis Road in Dundee, plans for which are shown in the development evolution section.
The preferred solution, following further development and allowing for maximum flexibility in the 2 bedroom, 3 person scenario at 80m2and it is this model that forms the basis of this document.
This concept design has been further developed to distinguish the 80m2 option as the standard flat approach with further designs to provide house variants, the 4 bedroom, 5 person house as well as the 5 bedroom, 6 person house.
